New In at The Body Shop: Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Butter

I must admit, the first time I bought The Body Shop products was about six months ago when they had a Groupon come out.  I was always one to go to Bath and Body works, but after visiting TBS and seeing what they have to offer, I'm converted.  Although TBS is a little more expensive than BBW, I think their products are made of more quality ingredients and are more effective (I recommend their body washes, they are so moisturizing and smell really nice).

A newer line that has landed at TBS is the Camomille line.  It includes a variety of face cleansers and makeup removers.  The two I picked up are the cleansing balm and the cleansing oil.  I've already said that I'm a huge fan of using olive oil as a makeup remover, so I was really curious about TBS's offering. The Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is a thin oil consistency and smells lovely.  It removes makeup super easily, even waterproof mascara.  Of the two, this would be the better one for the oily skin ladies out there.  Don't be afraid because it's an oil.  Trust me, it works.  I like it a little more than my good 'ol olive oil only because it smells nicer and I like the thinner consistency.  However, at $18.00 full retail price, I don't know if I would repurchase unless there's a good sale going on.

Now, on to the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter.  It is a solid substance that melts to an oil when you warm it in your hands.  It takes away makeup just as well as the oil, and is perhaps better for dryer skin as I find it is more moisturizing than the oil.  It also contains shea butter which can break some people out, so just an FYI if you're sensitive to that ingredient (I haven't noticed it causing any breakouts, however).  The butter is listed at $15.00, full price.

Have you tried these products?  What do you think about cleansing oils and balms?
