Gel liner isn't plentiful when it comes to drugstore brands but I saw this one by L'Oreal and thought I would give it a shot. This liner is from their Infallible line and touts itself as being a 24 hour product. I'm not sure if 24 hour hold is really necessary in any makeup product but hey, gotta love a good gimmick.
The liner comes with a little brush which I thought I would immediately toss (as one does with most brushes that come with drugstore products...or really any product for that matter). However, I thought I would give it one try before condemning it to the trash and I ended up really enjoying it. It's very easy to use and you can angle it to create the thickness you are looking for. If you want a SUPER thin line, this brush may not work but I like it.
As for the product itself, it has a really nice consistency and is really smooth going on. It is smudge-able if that is the look you're going for and once it is set, it won't budge all day. When I go to wash my face at night it looks exactly the same as it did when I put it on in the morning (about 13 hours later).
My only gripe about this product is that it's $10. If it's a good product, I'll pay it but in my opinion that is starting to approach high end makeup prices. For example, you could get one of the coveted Urban Decay liners for $9 more dollars. I think it's unwise for drugstore brands to get into the $10-$15 dollar range. If I'm going to pay that much I may as well pay a few dollars extra and get a product that is (most of the time) better. But, that's another story.
Overall I definitely recommend this product and think it's a great gel liner. What's your favorite kind of liner to use? Anyone tried this one?
