One day I was casually perusing some blogs and came across one bloggers post (can't remember which one..oops!) who was featuring the Bond Girls line from OPI. Click here to view the whole line if you're interested.
The polish is a liquid sand formula, so when you put it on it has a bumpy and...well....sandy texture. I immediately loved the Jinx one. I thought it was just such an awesome summer color with the coral and gold shimmer. So, obviously I went on Amazon.com and purchased it.
The things I love about the polish: it is easy to apply, you only need one coat and it dries SO QUICKLY! I mean, it felt like it was fully dry after only a couple minutes. This is a crazy bonus for me because I hate feeling like I can't touch anything for what seems like hours after applying polish. If you don't like the gritty texture, you can always apply a top coat on top.
I applied this on Sunday and today it is starting to chip a bit, however I'm thinking that may be partly due to my base coat I have been using. I tried the same base coat with a Sally Hansen polish that usually lasts a decent amount of time and it was chipping almost same day (it's a Sally Hansen base coat but I can't think of the exact name at the moment).
Chipping aside (which may not be the fault of Jinx anyway) I really like this polish. I like the color a lot but honestly, I just LOVE the drying time. Being able to be functional only 2 minutes after doing my nails is basically life changing.
Tip: if you want an extra clean manicure, you can put petroleum jelly around the nail and then wipe it off when your nails dry. Or...my favorite (but less....classy?) strategy.....the next morning when you're in the shower pick off the remnants that ended up on your skin. Hey, it works. Don't judge.
What are your favorite colors for spring/summer?
