Down Jackets in April?

Yesterday was opening day for the Twins at Target Stadium.  My husband and I have season tickets and were going to the game with a couple friends.  While it was nice and sunny, don't let the picture fool you -- it was freezing.  I think the high was about 35 degrees.  Not only is that chilly on a normal day, that is down right frigid when you're going to be sitting outside for 3+ hours!

This is what my outfit consisted of: leggings, jeans over those leggings, fuzzy socks, fleece boot liners, Hunter rain boots, long sleeve shirt, Nike running shirt, my down jacket that goes down to the knees, scarf, hat and mittens.  Yeah.  Picture that.  I felt like the kid from A Christmas Story who can't put his arms down because he's wearing so many layers.

Hopefully I can officially retire my long down coat after today.  It's just not fair to have to wear it in April...

    1. True -- there were some people there who were only wearing jeans and a sweatshirt! I'm hoping today is our last day of *winter* weather.
